If you are serious about social media marketing, you have probably considered creating extra tabs on your Facebook page. You know about the business potential they carry—companies use separate Facebook tabs to create landing pages, interactive elements and special offers. But how do you go about doing it?

We recently explored the tab creation path and found a fast and easy way of doing it. Here it is in three steps:

1. Find the FBML Application

FiStatic FBML Applicationrst, find the Static FBML application on Facebook. This is what you are going to use to plug in the desired HTML code and create your page. Simply click on the Add-to-My-Page option right below the application thumbnail.

After you add it to your page, go to the Facebook home page and click to see your Pages. Scroll down until you see the freshly added Static FBML. Click on Edit FBML and you will see two boxes appear. One is for the title and the second one for the actual HTML.

2. Add HTML to FBML

Enter the HTML code of the page you want to create. You can hyperlink text or embed images. We recommend that you create the page on another software— maybe even your blogging platform—so that you can control the way it looks there.  When satisfied with what you see, copy and paste the desired HTML into the FBML box.

3. Review Your New Tab!

Lastly, simply save the changes you have made and go to your Facebook page. You should see the new tab appear next to your other promoted tabs, such as Info and Photos. By clicking on it, you will see the page that you designed. For instance, check out the tab that we created to showcase the success of our customers
